NextStep’s annual Wheelchair for a Day challenge is a global effort to raise awareness about the daily challenges associated with paralysis and mobility impairments and to raise funding to help NextStep in its goal to expand to communities nationwide. Wheelchair for a Day (WFD) challenges able-bodied people to spend one day in a wheelchair and to share their experience through videos, photos, and stories. Each participant’s journey will be shared on NextStep’s official social media channels. Additionally, participants are encouraged to start a personal campaign on NextStep’s CrowdRise page to share their stories and help raise money to support the mission.
